The IHSAA Boys Basketball State Tournament tips off tomorrow, presented by the Indiana Pacers and Indiana Fever. The Warriors are competing in Sectional #42, hosted by Park Tudor, where six teams will battle for the sectional title: Cardinal Ritter, Monrovia, Park Tudor, Riverside, University, and Covenant. Covenant (14-8) will take on University (14-9) tomorrow, Tuesday, March 4, at 6:00 p.m. The Warriors narrowly lost to the Trailblazers in their previous regular-season matchup, falling 75-79 in overtime, but are determined to come out on top this time. If they win, Covenant will move on to face conference opponent Monrovia (6-16) on Friday, March 7, at 6:00 p.m. The Warriors previously defeated the Bulldogs 77-73 in January. On the opposite side of the bracket, Cardinal Ritter (16-6) will play Park Tudor (8-12). Park Tudor won their regular season matchup, 73-65, and will have homecourt advantage, but the Raiders are coming off a strong regular season finish, after winning 6 of their last 7 games. The winner advances to face Riverside (18-4) on Friday at 7:30pm. Winners of Friday's games will meet for the sectional championship on Saturday, March 8 at 7:00 p.m. All games will be held at Park Tudor.
