The 2024-25 Covenant boys varsity basketball team took a 4-2 record into Christmas break and have already almost doubled their win total. The Warriors swept through the Cougar Classic host by Lakeland Christian Academy and Grace College, emerging at 7-2 and tournament champions. On the opening day of the tourney, they took down the DeMotte Christian Knights, 75-35, and then turned around and beat the tournament hosts, 73-32. This set up a championship showdown with the Whitko Wildcats of South Whitley, Indiana. The Warriors won by another double-digit margin, 63-52. Junior Isaac Crane was crowned the tournament MVP and senior Bryce Harris named to the All-Tournament Team. Crane is currently averaging a double-double with 11.5 PPG and 11.1 RPG! The Warriors are slated for a handful of non-conference games coming up against Owen Valley on Friday, January 3 followed by University on January 6 and Columbus North on January 7 when they will finally return to the home floor. They'll face off with Indiana Crossroads opponent, Monrovia, on January 17 before starting in on the City Alliance Tournament. Covenant is currently 3-0 in ICC play!
