Boy Tennis - IHSAA Regionals | October 8 & 9 The boys tennis team has had a productive tournament season after advancing their #1 and #2 doubles to last week's City Tournament finals. Isaac Crane/Mark Crane (#1 doubles) and John Bird/Nolan Guzman (#2 doubles) finished as runners-up, but claimed All-City honors, along with #1 singles Max Carter. The team then clinched the program's tenth sectional title after defeating Speedway (5-0) and Ben Davis (3-2) to advance to this week's regional semi-final. They will take on Franklin Central on Tuesday, October 8 for a shot to advance to Wednesday's regional championship vs. the winner of Cathedral/Bishop Chatard. Tickets can be purchased here: https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=97352 Girls Soccer - IHSAA Sectionals | October 8, 10 & 12 The Lady Warriors finished their regular season with a record of 8-7-0. They advanced to the City semi-finals, but fell to the eventual champions, Cathedral. The team regrouped with a win over Greenwood Christian (3-1) and now set their sites on making a run in their sectional. They kick-off vs. ICC opponent Cardinal Ritter on Tuesday, October 8 at 6pm at Heritage Christian. The Warriors defeated the Raiders, 6-0, earlier in the season. The University Trailblazers await the winner on Thursday at Heritage at 5pm. On the other side of the bracket, the host and top ranked Heritage Christian (ISCA #1 in 1A), will open with Christel House. The winner will take on Bethesda/Scecina before advancing to Saturday's final, which will be played at 2pm at Heritage Christian. The team finished as outright champions in the Indiana Crossroads Conference, which was the program's first conference title and the school's third overall. They will start their defense on Wednesday, October 9, when they travel to Southmont to play Southmont (6-7-1). The winner will play either University or North Putnam in the championship on Saturday, October 12 at 7pm. Girls Volleyball - IHSAA Sectionals | October 17 & 19 The volleyball team (11-17) learned their draw on Sunday for IHSAA Sectional #42. The sectional starts next Thursday, October 17 and will be hosted at Cardinal Ritter High School. The Warriors open against the host Raiders where Park Tudor awaits the winner in the semi-finals. Covenant defeated Cardinal Ritter, 3-1, and Park Tudor, 3-0, during the regular season. Monrovia will play vs. University in their first match, where the winner will take on Riverside. The semi-finals and finals will be played on Saturday, October 19. The Warriors are currenty in the midst of their City Tournament. They defeated Christel House, 3-0, and will now travel to Bishop Chatard to take on the Trojans on Tuesday, October 8 with 5:30PM (JV) and 7:00PM (varsity) start times. The girls race will start at 9 a.m. followed by the boys at 9:45. The Warriors will then compete in IHSAA Sectional #15 the following Saturday, October 19 at 8:30am (girls) and 9:15am (boys).
