Spring seasons are nearing their end, and the anticipation is growing for how our Warriors will fair in the postseason. Check out all the tournament action for our spring varsity teams here! Boys Volleyball | May 11 The boys volleyball team advanced to the IBVCA sectional final on Saturday with 3-1 a win over New Palestine in the semis. The host team, Roncalli, won the championship and moves on in the last state tournament boys volleyball will have not under the sanctioning of the IHSAA. The Warriors season record finished at an even 13-13. Girls Track & Field | May 14 The girls track team will travel to Decatur Central for Sectional #20. Gates open at 4:30, and field events begin at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $7, and only available online at https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=80910. Girls Tennis | May 15-17 Ben Davis hosts girls Sectional #25 that also features Covenant, Cardinal Ritter, Speedway, and Tri-West. The Warriors will take on Speedway on Wednesday, May 15 at 5 p.m. Tri-West awaits the winner for Thursday's semifinal matchup. The championship is slated for Friday at 5 p.m. with a rain date on Saturday. Covenant is the defending champion of the sectional and has held the crown dating back to 2018. Boys Track & Field | May 16 Pike High School is hosting the IHSAA boys track and field Sectional #20 on Thursday, May 16 at 6 p.m. Digital tickets are available for $7 at https://public.eventlink.com/tickets?t=81089. No cash is accepted at the gate. Softball | May 21-22 The Covenant Warrior softball team hopes to make a return trip to the sectional championship at Cascade's Sectional #43. They will face off with the winner of Cardinal Ritter and Riverside on Tuesday, May 21 at 7 p.m. in the semifinal. The other side of the bracket features a showdown of Cascade and Sheridan for a shot at playing in Wednesday's 6 p.m. championship game. Baseball | May 27 Warrior baseball has a tall order ahead of them to replicate last year's postseason success of reaching the IHSAA State Finals. Their road was made a little easier with a bye in the first round of Sheridan's Sectional #43. They will take on Riverside in a Memorial Day game against Riverside at 12 p.m. A win will put them in the 6 p.m. championship game against either Sheridan, University, Cascade, or Cardinal Ritter. Boys Golf | June 3 Decatur Central hosts boys golf Sectional #14 at Winding River Golf Course at 9 a.m. on Monday, June 3. The field of 11 teams also consists of Ben Davis, Brebeuf Jesuit, Decatur Central, Cardinal Ritter, Pike, Purdue Polytechnic (Broad Ripple), Purdue Polytechnic (Downtown), Riverside, and Speedway.
