Covenant Christian High School

Sectional #43 will be hosted by Sheridan on February 27 and March 1 and 2. Five teams will battle for the opportunity to advance to the regional round including the host Blackhawks, your Warriors, University, Cascade, and Park Tudor. Covenant drew a first round game against Cascade (11-11)--the winner of which will play Park Tudor (16-5) in the semifinals. This game will be played at Sheridan on Tuesday, February 27 at 7 p.m. Ironically, these are the two teams in the sectional the Warriors did not see in the regular season. University visited Covenant back on January 6 and took a 54-45 victory. The Warriors scraped by Sheridan on January 27, 53-50. University will face Sheridan in the semifinal game opposite Covenant's side of the bracket. They have an opportunity to potentially slip in under the radar in this sectional and put together a postseason run. Guidelines: The following restrictions apply to IHSAA tournament events: -No publications, brochures, fliers, etc. of any kind, whether for sale or free‐of‐charge, are to be distributed at IHSAA tournament events without prior approval from the IHSAA. -Balloons, banners and/or posters, etc. are not permitted. -Cowbells and other such noise devices, banners, shakers on sticks, signs, posters, etc., are not permitted. -No live animal mascots are permitted. -Line‐up lanes of fans shall not be permitted on the playing floor at any time. -Audio/video devices are not permitted on the playing floor. -The throwing of articles, including toilet tissue, is not allowed. It shall be the responsibility of each high school principal to see that the above restrictions are enforced. -There will be no smoking allowed on the grounds of Park Tudor School. -All entering (not on a team bus/in uniform) must have a ticket.
