The Covenent girls swim team will finish off the season with their toughest competition yet at the IHSAA Sectional #13 meet at Pike High School on Thursday and Saturday, February 1 and 3. The top eight event qualifiers on Thursday will swim in championship finals on Saturday, while the next eight fastest qualifiers will swim in consolation finals. Leading the Warriors in pre-meet seeding is All-City honoree Ava Smith who is seeded 6th in the 200 freestyle and 5th in the 100 backstroke along with Nyah Cottee-Pruitt who is seeded 15th in the 100 breaststroke. Additionally, the 200 freestyle relay of Smith, Shelby Olmstead, Gretchen Monday and Cottee-Pruitt is seeded 6th and has a great opportunity to break the school record. Abby Gibson and Lillie Sefton finish out the meet roster and look to contribute to relays that qualify for Saturday's finals.
