XC Advances Three Runners to Regionals

The Girls and Boys Cross Country teams competed on a wet track on a beautifully sunny day in the Ben Davis Sectional of the 2018 Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) State Tournament on Saturday.  In the sectional level, the top five teams and ten individuals not on advancing teams, advance to the regional level.

The Girls Soccer team (7-7-2) picked up a big win on Thursday night, defeating City and sectional rival Cardinal Ritter HS (8-4) 1-0 in the IHSAA Sectional #42 semifinal match. The Girls JV and Varsity Volleyball teams (#6 seeds) went to Heritage Christian last night in the second round of the City Tournament, but both teams came away with losses, which eliminates the Lady Warriors from the Tournament. Girls Volleyball Defeats Tech to Advance in City

The Girls Volleyball team (9-18), the #6 seed, defeated #11 seed Arsenal Tech HS 3-0 in the first round of the City Volleyball Tournament last night.  CCHS jumped out to early leads in all three sets, winning 25-10, 25-9, 25-8.  The Junior Varsity also defeated ATHS in two sets to advance.
