Boys Junior Varsity Baseball, Boys Varsity Baseball · Stevenson Named Head Baseball Coach

The Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Chris Stevenson as Covenant’s Head Baseball Coach.  Stevenson takes over for Andy Gossel, who over the past 16 years led the Warriors to Sectional titles in 2008, 2011, 2014, and 2018. In the 2018-2019 season, Covenant finished 13-13 that was highlighted by a City Runner-Up finish vs. Cathedral at Victory Field. The Warriors weren’t able to play last season due to COVID-19.

Stevenson has been teaching and coaching at Covenant for the past 9 years. Previously, he was the Head JV and Varsity Assistant Baseball Coach where he was part of two Sectional titles (‘14 and ‘18).  When asked about stepping into this role Stevenson replied, “I hope to be first and foremost a spiritual mentor to the boys and continue to build on the success that we’ve had in the past.”
