Girls Varsity Golf · Girls Golf Takes Fifth in City


The Girls Golf team scored their best 18-hole finish of the season today, shooting a 405 at South Grove GC in the City Tournament, good enough to place fifth.

Heritage Christian shot a blistering 338 to nip second place Cathedral HS, who shot a 342.  HCS’ Morgan Hicks medaled the tournament with a 74.  Bishop Chatard HS took third place with a 371, while Cardinal Ritter HS placed fourth with a 393.  Click here for complete results for the 2020 Girls Golf City Tournament.

Covenant was led by Junior Mayah Parker, who shot a 95.  Parker shot a 50 on her first nine holes, and a 45 on the second nine.  Sophomore Eve Granitz shot a 52 on her first nine, but improved for a 46 on the second nine for a 98.  Junior Chloe Carlson also rebounded on her second nine, shooting a 53 on the first nine and 46 on the second nine to break 100 at 99.  Sophomore Rebekah Bird was consistent for the day, hitting a 57 on the first nine and 56 on the last nine.
