Seniors Ilani Williams-Harris and Sania Borom are beginning to collect postseason honors for their strong 2019-20 seasons, which helped lead the Lady Warriors to a 17-9 record, a Bostick Memorial Tournament title, and another sectional championship.

Circle City Conference All-Conference teams are determined by coach nominations, up to four players per team, and those nominations are voted on by all of the CCC coaches in that sport to select the honor team.  The top ten vote-getters from this season were chosen for the All-Conference team.  The 2019-20 All-Conference Team is:

Zakia Rasheed, Junior — Bishop Chatard HS
Tyranny Brown, Junior — Heritage Christian
Nicole Cunningham, Senior — Guerin Catholic HS
Sania Borom, Senior — Covenant Christian HS

Williams-Harris and Borom were also both selected by Hoosier Basketball Magazine to their Top 100 Seniors.  Williams-Harris has also been selected for the Top 60 Workout.  The Top 100 will be paired down to the Top 60, for the HBM Top 60 Workout on March 8th at Heritage Christian.  Click here for the HBM Top 100 Media Release.

Williams-Harris, who has committed to attend and play basketball at the University of Indianapolis, averaged a team-high 16.4 ppg, along with 4.1 rpg, 4.5 apg, and 2.9 spg.  Borom netted 10.6 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 2.6 apg, and led the Lady Warriors with 3.2 spg.

Senior Alana Vinson, the leading scorer in the CCC this season, had her 18.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg, and 2.4 apg help the Lady Rebels of Roncalli HS to an undefeated conference championship in 2019-20.  Junior Madelyn Bischoff was Roncalli’s and the CCC’s second leading scorer, adding 18.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg, and 1.3 apg.

Junior Ariana Wiggins, who is an Indiana Junior All-Star candidate, helped lead HCS to a second place finish in the CCC, averaging 16.3 ppg, 4.3 rpg, and 2.8 apg.  Sydney Watkins, who is an Indiana All-Star candidate for this year, chipped in 13.6 ppg, 5.3 rpg, and 3.7 apg.  Junior Tyranny Brown is the third HCS player selected to this year’s conference squad.  Brown averaged 10.2 ppg, 4.5 rpg, and 2.8 apg for the Lady Eagles.

Two Juniors from Bishop Chatard made this year’s All-CCC team. Moira McGinley, who has eclipsed the 1000 career point plateau, averaged 17.1 ppg, 3.6 rpg, and 1.9 apg for the Lady Trojans, while the University of Akron commit Zakia Rasheed, added 15.0 ppg, 3.6 rpg, and 1.9 apg.

Senior Nicole Cunningham is the lone representative on the All-Conference Team from Guerin Catholic HS, who was much improved this season.  Cunningham led the Lady Golden Eagles with 12.6 ppg, 3.9 rpg, and 1.0 apg.
