Senior Ilani Williams-Harris was selected to the 2019-20 Marion County Coaches of Girls Sports Association (MCCGSA) All-City Team, which was released today with the All-County Team selections. Senior Sania Borom and Junior Bonnie Lew Ludlow were also honored, as they were selected as All-City Honorable Mention. 2019-20 MCCGSA All-City/County Teams. The teams are determined by coach nominations which are then voted on by all of the girls basketball coaches in the City Alliance.
Williams-Harris, the University of Indianapolis commit, averaged 16.5 ppg to go along with 4.1 rpg, 4.5 apg, and 3.0 spg during her senior season. Ilani also had a great sectional series, as she scored 19 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, handed out an assist, and had four steals in the upset win over #2 ranked University HS (22-2) in the semifinals, and then she put on a shooting display against Western Boone HS, as she scored 25 points on 10-for-12 shooting from the field in the sectional final blowout win to lead CCHS to their sixth straight sectional title.
Borom was the team’s second leading scorer, averaging 10.9 ppg in the 2019-20 campaign, as well as being second on the team in both rebounding (4.7 rpg) and assists (2.7 apg). Borom also led the team in steals, averaging 3.2 thefts per game.
Ludlow, who was limited to only nine games this season due to a serious ACL injury this past summer, came back to strengthen the Lady Warriors, adding 9 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 1.1 apg, and 1.8 spg.
