Sophomore Clayton Reichanadter and Junior Tim Skaggs competed in the IHSAA Cross Country Regional #9 at Ben Davis HS on Saturday morning. Both runners had advanced out of the sectional level as individuals last week.
Reichanadter ran a personal best time of 16:50.20 in the regional, to finish in 30th place overall. Skaggs also ran a strong race, finishing in 17:56.30 in 64th place.
Brownsburg HS finished in first place as a team, even though Junior Jesus Garcia and Senior Robert Pratt from Zionsville CHS finished in first and second overall respectively. Garcia’s top time was 15:27.30. BHS edged ZCHS 58 to 60 for first and second place in the team standings. Plainfield HS finished in third place (114), followed by Avon HS (118), Ben Davis HS (131), Cardinal Ritter HS (149), Southport HS (156), Perry Meridian HS (187), Crawfordsville HS (209), and Danville CHS (241). The top five teams advance to semi-state, as well as the top ten individual finishers not on advancing teams.
Reichanadter finished in the tenth advancing spot and will race in the semi-state at Blue River Park in Shelbyville, IN on Saturday, October 26 at 10:30 am.
