On Saturday, Sept. 7, the CCHS Boys and Girls Cross Country teams competed in the Harrison Invitational at Tippecanoe Amphitheater Park in West Lafayette. Top performances from the boys came from Sophomore Clayton Reichandter (17:35), and Junior Timothy Skaggs and Senior Nate Sloan (18:38). Freshman Marvin Paredes ran 19:22, Junior Josiah Allman broke his personal best by over 40 seconds (20:28) and Freshman Dawson Kester set beat his previous best by nearly two minutes (22:35). Sophomore Burke Wilhelmus ran 23:58. Senior Harland Lory finished as the top girl for CCHS in a time of 22:00. Sophomores Rachel Shaughnessy (24:41) and Brooklyn Stewart (27:34) ran well. On Saturday Sept. 14th, the Boys team competed in the Ben Davis Invitational. Reichanadter finished 35th overall in a personal best time of 17:24. Skaggs ran 17:54 for 5K, his fastest ever and his first run under 18 minutes. Sloan ran 18:57, while Paredes ran 19:21, Allman ran 21:00, Kester 22:55, and Wilhelmus ran 23:45, a personal best.
