The Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA) released the assignments for the 2020 and 2021 sectionals for the sports of baseball and softball earlier today. The IHSAA re-configures the sectional alignments for all class sports every two years, basing class assignments on student enrollment and the Success Factor, and then the sectional assignments are determined using geography as best as possible. In baseball, Covenant will stay in Class 2A and in Sectional #43. The Sectional #43 schools are Cascade HS, CCHS, Monrovia HS, Park Tudor, Speedway HS, and University HS. Speedway is the defending Sectional #43 champion and UHS moves up to 2A from Class 1A after winning a 1A state title in 2019 and a state runner-up finish in 2018. CCHS will also be in Sectional #43, which includes Cascade HS, CCHS, Monrovia HS, Park Tudor, and Speedway. Click here for the IHSAA Softball Sectional Assignments.
