Boys Varsity Tennis · Boys Tennis Drops First Decision of the Year

After a mid-match suspension of play on Saturday and getting postponed due to weather on Tuesday, the Boys Tennis team was finally able to get on the courts and complete their first full match of the season on Wednesday night.  CCHS fell to Lebanon HS, 5-0.

Senior Luke Susud lost at #1 Singles 6-0, 6-1.  Freshman Nolan Johnson, filling in at #2 Singles due to sickness, fell 0-6, 0-6.  Junior Joseph Bird lost at #3 Singles 4-6, 1-6.  The #1 Doubles team of Junior Graham Shelton and Matthew Wilson won the team’s only game of the night, but losing the set 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 3-6.  Sophomore Jerry Chen and Junior Zach Lanius fell at #2 Doubles 1-6, 1-6.

The Warriors will dodge rain drops again tonight, as they return to Emmick Family Courts to host City rival Scecina Memorial HS at 4:30p.
