Boys Varsity Track, Girls Varsity Track · T&F Close Out Season in Regionals

The Boys and Girls Track and Field teams competed at their respective regionals this week, with the Girls at Ben Davis HS and the Boys at North Central HS.

On Tuesday, Junior Emma Hunt finished ninth in the 100m hurdles, setting a new personal best time of 16.65. She also competed in the 300m hurdles and finished in another personal best time of 49.26. The 4×100 team of Junior Sania Borom, Sophomore Hannah Crane, Hunt, and Freshman Elizabeth Schafer ran a season best time of 52.97, finishing tenth overall. Senior Ashlyn Hastings scored 2 points, finishing seventh in the 3200 with a time of 11:50.00
The Boys team sent the most competitors to the North Central regional in program history. The 4×800 team of Sophomores Gabe Wilson, Tim Skaggs, Freshman Caleb Prahlow, and Senior Nate Sloan finished 12th overall. Seniors Ben Dubke and Logan Scott represented the team in the 110 and 300 hurdles, respectively. The 4×100 team of Senior Ethan Hurt, Junior Will Trapp, Scott, and Sophomore Gage Coffey finished 12th overall.  Senior Justin Foster finished 10th in the 400 meter dash, while the 4×400 team of Trapp, Hurt, Coffey, and Foster finished 12th overall.
It was a great way to finish the year for both teams. Continual success is on the horizon for the CCHS track and field program.
