Girls Varsity Softball · Softball Offense Explodes in Win Over Triton Central

The Softball offense exploded for 19 runs on 14 hits last night, leading to a 19-8 win over Triton Central HS.  Sophomore Aubrey Jones got a no decision in the circle, giving up 8 runs in 2+ innings.  Sophomore Brooklyn Bond pitched three innings in relief for the win.

The Lady Warrior bats were the real story, as they came out and put up seven runs in the bottom of the first inning.  Senior Sydney Jones drove in three runs, two of which came on a home run in the fourth.  Senior Bailey Everett also homered in the third inning to drive in two runs.  Sophomore Faith Perez and Freshman Morgan Yeater had multiple hits for CCHS, as well as Yeater leading the team with three stolen bases.

The win improves Covenant’s season mark to 12-6-1.  CCHS will travel to sectional foe University HS on Thursday at 5:30 pm, and then close out the regular season in the Circle City Conference Champions Day on Saturday at Roncalli HS versus Guerin Catholic HS at 2:00 pm.
