The Softball team (11-6-1)  gave up four runs in the seventh inning last night, but held on for a 10-7 win over Beech Grove HS.

The Lady Warriors jumped out to an early lead, with three runs in the first inning, but the Lady Hornets plated two in the bottom of the first and another in the third to tie it up at three.  CCHS blew the game open with six runs in the fifth inning.  Senior Bailey Everett had a strong game at the plate, collecting four hits and three RBI in the win.  Sophomore Brooklyn Bond pitched a complete game to pick up the win for the Lady Warriors.

Covenant closes out the home portion of their regular season schedule tonight, as they host Triton Central HS at 5:30 pm.  The team will then hit the road on Thursday to take on University HS and then close out the regular season on Saturday in the Circle City Conference Champions Day at Roncalli HS.  CCHS will face Guerin Catholic HS at 2:00 pm.
