Girls Varsity Softball · Softball Pulls Away From HCS

The Softball team (5-1-1) rebounded from their first loss of the season on Monday night to Tri-West HS, to pick up their first ever Circle City Conference win of the year on Tuesday, defeating Heritage Christian 15-5 in five innings.

CCHS was led offensively by Senior Bailey Everett, who hit a double, triple, and a home run to drive in four runs.  Sophomore Faith Perez also tallied three hits of Covenant’s 13 total hits on their way to the win.

The game started as a tight affair, with both teams tied at 4-4 after two innings.  CCHS blew it open after that, scoring three in the third, two in the fourth, and six in the fifth inning.

Sophomore Brooklyn Bond (3-0) picked up the win in the circle, pitching a complete game, giving up five runs on six hits, and struck out five Lady Eagles.

The Lady Warriors are back at Wayne Sports Park on Thursday, as they host Greenwood Christian Academy at 5:15pm.
