The City Alliance released the draw for the 2019 Freshman Boys Basketball City Tournament on Tuesday, following the January City Athletic Directors meeting. The Freshman City Tournament is determined by a blind draw of the fourteen participating schools. Two host sites will host four teams in the first round, while the two of the four teams that drew first round byes will host the quarterfinals. The semifinals and finals will be hosted by Charles A. Tindley Accelerated School. The tournament will kick off with the first round on Tuesday, February 12, with the quarterfinals on Thursday, February 14. The semifinals and finals will be played on Saturday, February 16.
CCHS drew a first round game versus Heritage Christian School. HCS defeated the Warriors in a back-and-forth contest in early January. The game will be at Bishop Chatard HS on February 12 at 7:15 pm. Click here for the complete 2019 Freshman Boys Basketball City Tournament bracket.
Ticket prices for the tournament are $5 for adults and $3 for students.
