The Girls Basketball team (4-3) got back to their winning form on Tuesday night after Thanksgiving Break, with a 70-66 win over the Indy Blazers in double overtime.
Covenant looked to be in control of the game, leading by as many as fifteen points in the first half. The Blazers were able to trim to lead to ten at halftime, and then erased the lead completely in the third quarter. The Blazers outscored CCHS 21-12 in that frame. Freshman Gloria Brewer led the Blazers with 33 points.
Junior Ilani Williams-Harris paced the Lady Warriors, scoring 20 points to go along with 7 assists. Senior Bailey Everett poured in 19 points, while grabbing 9 boards and handing out three assists. Junior Sania Borom also reached double figures in scoring, netting 12 points. Sophomore Bonnie Ludlow added eleven points in the win.
The team will be back in action on Thursday night, as they host Circle City Conference foe Brebeuf Jesuit Prep at 6/7:30 pm.
