The postseason honors for the Boys Soccer program are rolling in after a second consecutive season in which the Warriors were Class 1A State runners-up, ending up with a 13-9 record.

Covenant had multiple players selected to both the All-City and the All-City Tournament teams.  Seniors Braden Havics, Noah Martin, and Gabe Byrd were all selected to the 2018 All-City Team.  The All-City Team is selected by vote of the Boys Soccer coaches of the City Alliance based on their entire season.  Havics was second on the team with nine goals.  Martin helped anchor a Warrior defense that gelled as the season progressed, and gave up just two goals in the team’s final eleven games.  Byrd was third on the team with seven goals and the team leader with eight assists.

Havics was the lone Warrior to be selected by the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association (ISCA) to the 2018 All-District Team.  The ISCA selects All-District Teams regardless of class.  2018 ISCA All-District Team.

Martin and Byrd were also selected to this season’s Circle City Conference All-Conference Team.  2018 marked the first time that CCHS was eligible for the All-Conference team.

The Warriors were also well represented on the ISCA Academic All-State Team.  Seniors Gabe Byrd, Ben Dubke, Luke Hastings, Maclain Hastings, Braden Havics, Ethan Hurt, Noah Martin, Josh Prahlow, and Sam Probst, as well as Junior Will Trapp.  Academic All-State selections must be a Junior or Senior and a regular contributor on the varsity roster, as well as maintain a cumulative 3.7 GPA (on a scale of 4.0).
