The Boys Soccer team (8-8) dominated their first sectional game on Monday night, defeating Cascade HS 8-0.  CCHS, who has struggled to find the net throughout the season, found it early and often.  Senior Maclain Hastings scored the first of his two goals less than fifty seconds into the game.  Senior Braden Havics picked up two goals in the first half, one off of a corner kick from Sophomore Eli Martin and the other off a shot from Senior Gabe Byrd that could not be handled and Havics put the rebound away.  Senior Noah Martin also added two goals off of corner kicks.  CCHS led 4-0 at halftime.

Hastings had two goals, as did Havics and N. Martin.  Byrd and Sophomore Art Hinton scored the other two goals.  Byrd, Hinton, and Eli Martin all tallied two assists, while Sophomore Benji Oles also picked up an assist.  Senior Sam Probst made two second half saves in net.  CCHS put 21 shots on goal.

The Warriors will advance to face Covington HS (9-3-2) in the Sectional #41 semifinal on Wednesday night at 7:00 pm.  The game will be played at Bethesda Christian.  Bethesda (8-6-2) will face North Putnam HS (4-6-4) in the other sectional semifinal.  The final is slated for Saturday night at 7:00 pm.
