Covenant Warrior guard Vivian Haffner was on fire in Friday night's sectional semifinal against University. She led the team in scoring with 30 total points, and her eight, yes EIGHT, three pointers tied the single game school record. Her performance led the Warriors to victory over the Trailblazers who had previously defeated Covenant a month ago by 33 points, and it landed Haffner on IndyStar's girls basketball player of the week ballot. You can cast your votes through Friday (2/9) at indystar.com in the high school sports section. For those who have been following the Lady Warriors this season, Haffner's sectional game was not surprising--she has been sinking three-pointers regularly all season. In fact, she took down the Covenant single season record for threes in January 24th's win at North Putnam. The previous mark of 61 was set by Ilani Williams-Harris in the 2019-20 season. Haffner compiled 79 total three-pointers by season's end. Congratulations, Vivian!
